TELECOMWORLDWIRE-14 December 2001-Telspec to supply pair gain equipment to Telkom South Africa (C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Communication equipment supplier Telspec plc has been awarded a contract from Telkom South Africa for the supply of TelMax pair gain systems.

Telspec will complete the delivery of their full range of 2-, 4-, 8- and 10-channel pair gain systems within the next four years. The pair gain systems will allow Telkom South Africa to make more customer connections over new and existing access infrastructure.

The new contract is an extension to an already existing agreement that has seen Telspec acting as exclusive supplier of digital pair gain systems to Telkom South Africa for the last seven years.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
