Telly: Weather beaten.

DONAL MacIntyre is clearly a glutton for punishment. His previous undercover assignments have seen him infiltrate a gang of football hooligans and be mugged for a report into street crime.

He has been sued, received death threats and had to spend a year living in a safe house. In this series, he takes time out from trying to get beaten up by thugs and gets battered by the elements.

This week, he heads for the city of Bergen in Norway, which holds the coveted title of wettest place in Europe.

Look out for the Norweigan woman with the words of wisdom: ``There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.''

After Norway it's on to India, the wettest place in the world where an incredible 25 billion tons of water fall each year during the monsoon period.

In the Caribbean, he experiences the awesome power of floods and learns more about their devastating effects, before taking a trip to Texas, where the locals are more worried about the lack of water, and meeting the farmers trying to manufacture their own rain.
