TELECOMWORLDWIRE-19 September 2001-Telia Telecom selects Convergys' Geneva software (C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Telia Telecom A/S, a Danish-based subsidiary of the Swedish telecommunications group Telia, is to deploy Convergys Corp's Geneva active revenue management software.

Telia Telecom supplies a range of telephone, Internet protocol and ADSL broadband services to both residential and business customers across Denmark. The company will use the Geneva software, which will be integrated with front-end and mediation systems, to rate and bill all voice, data and content services.

The new billing solution is expected to go live in October. Initially Geneva will be used to support Telia Telecom's retail operations but could later also be utilised for the company's wholesale business.
