Television: Battling Battersby Leanne smacks flirty Maria in the kisser.

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) lives up to her name in Coronation Street this week when she thumps flirty Maria Sutherland (Samia Ghadie) for canoodling with her boyfriend Jamie.

Meanwhile, Rovers' manager Shelley Unwin (Sally Lindsay) is stunned when builder boyfriend Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) suggests moving in to the pub with her.

She thinks it's love... but crafty Charlie wants to live rent free while pocketing the profits on the sale of his house.

The path of love isn't running too smoothly in EastEnders, either. Stalker Sarah (Alison Pargeter) turns up the heat in her battle to woo Martin Fowler (James Alexandrou) from wife Sonia (Natalie Cassidy). She decides to learn everything she can about his life, family and friends. Her fixation becomes even more intense when she befriends Sonia. Over in Emmerdale, devious Steph Stokes (Lorraine Chase) goes all out to ensure nobody gets between her and dad Alan Turner (Richard Thorp)... or his money.

Events take a sinister twist when Alan's fiancee, Shelly (Carolyn Pickles) demands to see him and furious Steph lures her into the cellar, ties her up and keeps her hostage.

In Family Affairs, Trish (Gabrielle Glaister) tells Eileen (Rosie Rowell) she's going to reveal how she framed her husband for arson, while in River City, Stevie Adams (Cas Harkins) struggles to convince his family he's not a drug dealer.

In Hollyoaks, Dan (Andy McNair) and Steph (Carley Stenson) have a passionate clinch but her brother Jake (Kevin Sacre) doesn't approve.

Lou Carpenter (Tom Oliver) is up in court on fraud charges in Neighbours. He goes to jail... and things get even worse when he discovers who his cellmate will be. And in Home And Away, Sally (Kate Ritchie) and Flynn (Joel McIlroy) are run ragged. Surrogate mum Leah (Ada Nicodemou) has second thoughts about having their baby.
