Television : Police dig up trouble for Chrissie and Sam.

Byline: BILLY SLOAN

Tempers reach breaking point in soapland this week. In EastEnders, the boys in blue discover more than just a few crates of ale when they search the cellar of the Queen Vic... they dig up the body of Dirty Den.

Chrissie Watts (Tracy Ann Oberman) points the finger at Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) who is quizzed by cops. Later, tempers fray in the bar and the pair end up coming to blows.

Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) has more nastiness in store for poor girlfriend Shelley Unwin (Sally Lindsay) in Coronation Street. After causing a row, he storms off to the Weatherfield Arms and invites a pretty girl back to the Rovers.

Shelley comes downstairs as the passionate pair perform some horizontal aerobics.

The path of true love seldom runs smoothly in Emmerdale - just ask love cheat Louise Appleton (Emily Symons). After being dumped by sleazy lover Matthew King (Matt Healy), she goes all out to win back former fiancA Terry Woods (Billy Hartman). Marc McKenzie (Graham Bryan) returns to Family Affairs and his stepmother Cat (Nicola Duffett) doesn't exactly roll out the welcome mat. She blames him for the problems she's having with his dad, her husband Doug (Gareth Hale).

Tragedy hits Hollyoaks when Ali (Luti Fagbenle) squares up to racist bully Macki (Paul Holowaty) armed with a knife.

In Neighbours, Stuart (Blair McDonough) is stopped in his tracks when his disaster-prone girlfriend Sindi (Marisa Warrington) proposes.

In Home And Away, Flynn (Joel McIlroy) decides it's time to come clean and tell Sally (Kate Ritchie) about his drug problem. And in River City, Alice Henderson (Lorraine McIntosh) is back on the booze and plots her revenge on Billy Davis (Gray O'Brien
