Teleste (HEL:TLT1V), a technology group specialising in broadband data communication networks and solutions, announced on Monday that it will deliver intelligent, DOCSIS 3.1-capable amplifiers to a major utility company in Salzburg, Austria for network upgrade.
This deployment has a total deployment value of over EUR3m.
Reportedly, this project is coordinated by Witke, Teleste's partner in Austria, together with Triax Austria GmbH.
Currently, the utility company offers its cable TV subscribers over 150 free TV channels, including 41 HD channels, regional TV and panorama channels, selected premium channels and online video libraries.
According to the company, the HFC network upgrade opted for will be carried out to ensure the utility company's future capabilities in meeting subscribers' requirements for new, attractive services and greater bandwidth.
Teleste added that starting in 2018, these deliveries will be carried out over a period of five years.
