Remedy's Action Request System is Now 4.0 Compatible --

Tek-Tools, Inc., a leading provider of software development tools, today announced the release of jTicket 2.0, a major new version of its Java Applet for Remedy's Action Request System v4.0(TM).

jTicket 2.0 enables Remedy users immediate Web-based access to AR System v4.0 ensuring seamless integration with the leading help desk solution. Certified as 100% Pure Java(TM), jTicket assures cross-platform portability and reliability.

As a Web emulation of Remedy's user tool, jTicket 2.0 presents the end user with a similar interface to that of Remedy's AR System allowing for quick adaptability and accessibility. Serving as a familiar front end for thousands of users, jTicket extends the functionality of AR System v4.0 by supporting such features as tabs, tables, images and active links including Push Fields. Another distinction in jTicket 2.0 is its reporting capabilities through macros using HTML. With the addition of the Applications Programming Interface (API) Tool Kit, the end-user can also custom design their Web view, further extending jTicket 2.0's flexibility.

"jTicket continues to deliver a Web-based solution for Remedy customers needing a thin client solution for both the Internet and intranet," said Ken Barth, President of Tek-Tools. "It retains the performance and functionality that our customers need and the cross-platform independence that they want. And as always, jTicket offers a truly unmatched value due to its no per user client fees."

Unlike other products on the market, jTicket's small footprint makes it an ideal solution for thin clients needing quick deployment on both the Internet and intranet. Under 300K, jTicket 2.0 maintains unparalleled performance allowing for quicker deployment and effectiveness.

jTicket supports Solaris(TM), HPUX, AIX, and all Windows platforms. This latest release builds on the innovative, dynamic features available in previous versions such as macro support for submit, query and modify, cascading and dynamic query menus, and a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) client for the intranet.
