Tego Offers Two Flow And Leveling Additives.

Tego Chemie Service, Hopewell, VA, has introduced two new flow and leveling additives designed for numerous applications including printing inks and toners. According to the company, Tego Flow 353 and Tego Flow 354 both reduce surface tension and display compatibility in waterborne resins, resulting in the promotion of clarity.

Used to stabilize waterborne printing inks, Tego Flow 353 is a highly ethoxylated non-ionic surfactant supplied as 100 percent active. This additive increases compatibility for water-in-oil emulsions and helps make inks easier to clean from the press, according to the company.

Also supplied as 100 percent active, Tego Flow 354 is a cetyl dimethicone copolyol that promotes clean print quality in ink jet inks by improving flow and stabilizing the ink. According to the company, this additive helps eliminate smudge in toners by reducing surface tension, enabling the toner to better penetrate the substrate.
