Teenager attacked; IN BRIEF.

HADSTON: A teenager has a black eye after he was punched and kicked to the ground by an older man.

The 16-year-old was walking in Hadston Road, Hadston, Northumberland, on Friday when his assailant approached him from behind.

He was punched to the ground and suffered minor injuries including a black eye and grazes.

The offender, who fled the scene in the direction of St John's estate, is described as being white, around 24-years-old and 5ft 7ins tall.

He was of medium build and had a tanned complexion and freckled face.

He was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black baseball-style boots.

Witnesses should contact police on 101 ext 69191.
