Teenage stabbing suspects released under investigation after street fight; A 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest and back during the attack on Saturday evening.

Two teenagers have been released under investigation as enquiries into a stabbing in Walton continue.

The 17 and 18-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of wounding after a man was stabbed at the junction ofRice Lane and Rawcliffe Roadin Walton at around 8.15pm on Saturday.

Emergency services rushed a 19-year-old male victim to hospital, who suffered from knife wounds to his chest and back during the attack.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Merseyside Policeare continuing their investigation into what happened and the two suspects have been released pending further enquiries.

A police car remained on the scene yesterday morning, while a doorway adjacent to You're Gorgeous hair and beauty - close to where the street fight broke out - was cordoned off.

Detective Inspector Jennie Beck, said: "At this early stage we want to hear from anyone in the area who saw, or heard a disturbance, at the junction of Rice Lane and Rawcliffe Road.

"We believe there may have been a group of males fighting who then made off on foot, if you have any information which could help us identify those involved please call us.
