Teen boy quizzed on 3 attacks; CRIME.

A TEENAGER was quizzed yesterday over three attacks on women on a housing estate.

He was later released without charge and a file prepared for the DPP.

He was questioned over incidents on the Ashlawn estate near Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Co Donegal.

In the first attack a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted as she made her way home at 1am after a night out.

In the second a young woman was grabbed from behind just seconds after getting out of a taxi. She managed to fight off her attacker and fled 50 yards to her home, suffering bruising and shock.

In the third incident an elderly woman in her 70s was approached but not physically assaulted.

Local county councillor Jimmy Harte said there was a genuine feeling of fear because the three attacks all happened in such a small area.

He added: "As a resident of the area I know that these incidents are making other residents nervous."
