NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2001

Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: TCNO), the leader in manufacturing process management software solutions, today announced that it has extended its alliance with Information Service International-Dentsu, Ltd. (ISID) in Japan. Under the terms of the new agreement, ISID will distribute eM-TolMate, part of the Tecnomatix eMPower(TM) Quality offering, to users of all major CAD systems in Japan.

eM-TolMate is the leading software for tolerance management and stack-up analysis. The product is embedded in all major CAD systems using the master CAD models to perform comprehensive tolerance studies and analysis. ISID, which is a distributor of major CAD systems in Japan, will sell and support eM-TolMate to users of SDRC's I-DEAS system, PTC's Pro/ENGINEER, Dassault's Catia and UGS' Unigraphics. Users will now have a totally integrated solution for product design and quality control standardization.

"Appropriate tolerance analysis is a key for rapid globalization in manufactures, and reduction of development term and cost," said Chikashi Sasamori, chief operating officer, Manufacturing Industry Business Operations of ISID. "We put much importance on tolerance analysis, and we think that the sale of new versions of eM-TolMate is the inevitable process in the expansion of 3D design with CAD. We are sure that we will make a larger contribution to our customers by our rich experience and technical support."

"This agreement with ISID reflects our strategy to strengthen our commitment and access to the Japanese market," said Harel Beit-On, president and chief executive officer, Tecnomatix Technologies. "This agreement follows the successful implementations of eMPower in the Quality sensitive Japanese market."

"As the distributor of major CAD products, ISID is a natural partner for Tecnomatix. We are extremely pleased to be working together with them to provide this important market best-in-class tools for improving product quality."
