Technology for productivity upgrading the press brake

In June, the first segment of this three-part series covered advances in equipment and control technology, and looked at expanded capabilities expected in the near future. Next month, Part III will present a tabular listing of gaging systems and guarding devices.

This installment is a compilation of equipment specifications from companies responding to a survey requesting machine data. The table is generally limited to equipment rated 300 tons or less. A number of companies, notably Essay International, Hydratool, LVD, Summit, and Wysong & Miles, can supply hydraulic brakes rated from 300 to over 1000 tons.
