Technology Startup, AdaptivePortal, Among TiE50 2011 Finalists.

Plymouth, MN, April 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Small World Solutions, a Minnesota-based technology startup devoted to bringing enterprise grade web technologies to small and medium sized businesses, has today announced its centerpiece technology platform, AdaptivePortal, has been named a "TiE50 Finalist" in the Internet and Software categories (http://www.tie50.net/TiE50Awards/poll.asp).

TiE50 is TiE Silicon Valley's premier annual awards program that has always been keenly contested by thousands of technology startups worldwide. Since 2009, TiE50 winners and finalists have attracted nearly $20 Billion in funding from investors. TiE is a global, not-for-profit network of entrepreneurs and professionals dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship (http://www.tiecon.org).

"We are thrilled and indeed honoured to have reached finalist stage of these prestigious TiE50 annual awards," said an elated Ketan Kakkad, CEO, Small World Solutions, Inc. "Being selected as a TiE50 Finalist is a great moment of recognition for our team. This further validates the strength of our technology platform and its capability to become an innovative new force in the SMB and SME segment by empowering them with enterprise-grade web presence at costs they can afford."

AdaptivePortal, created by Minnesota-based entity Small World Solutions, Inc., is a completely meta-data driven, multi-tenant, secure and scalable Software-as-aService (SaaS) platform for optimizing web application delivery in the cloud.

According to Kakkad, who heads this web applications technology platform creator, the AdaptivePortal product strategy is founded on evidence that there is a tremendous amount of underserved small and medium sized businesses/enterprises (SMBs and SMEs) that need to have dynamic web applications powering their web presence to remain viable in the socially-connected world. These same SMBs and SMEs do not have the revenues or financial resources to hire an army of developers to design, build and maintain their web applications. There are 20+ million SMBs and SMEs in the United States alone, and countless others worldwide.
