Norwegian energy and materials group Norsk Hydro said on Thursday (12 June) that it had awarded Technip Offshore Norge AS, part of Technip-Coflexip, a EUR23m engineering, procurement, construction, installation contract.

The contract covered two seven-kilometre flowlines and one umbilical running from the Oseberg J template to the Oseberg South platform in the North Sea, Norsk hydro said.

The steel flowlines would be welded at Technip-Coflexip's spoolbase in Orkanger, Norway for installation in March 2004, Norsk Hydro added.

One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.7 British pounds (GBP).
