Teaming up with team group, Lone Star upgrades coldstore.

Lone Star Cold Storage, which serves major customers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, has refurbished its facility north of Dallas in Richardson, Texas. Renovations made by the Team Group, a Euless, Texas-based design/build construction firm, included a new roof, vapor barrier reestablishment, replacement of refrigeration compressors, electronics and other modifications to the mechanical room.

A central computerized system now in place continually monitors pre-set operational limits, makes adjustments to plant operations, and calls for assistance if manual intervention is necessary. New blast freezing cells have capacity of 180 pallets.

Lone Star has over three million cubic feet of storage space maintained at -20[degrees] to +45[degrees] E It offers a wide array of distribution services ranging from export documentation and on-line inventory visibility to transportation management.
