Teaming up for expansion.

TWO Huddersfield companies are charting a course for expansion after consolidating their businesses on a single site.

Cleaning products company Distinct Disposables and workwear supplier Louis France - both part of the Rubber Safety Hygiene Group (RSH) - are both based at Park Valley Mills in Lockwood following a move by Louis France's workwear from premises at Prospect Street in Huddersfield at the start of the year.

The two companies, together employing 12 people at the Park Valley Mills site, remain independent, but share distribution channels and warehousing with the purchase of two new vans carrying the Distinct Disposables, Louis France and RSH branding.

Rob Hand, RSH managing director, said Distinct Disposables had ambition growth plans following the successful move.

He said: "We are continuing to grow our market share in the area. We hope to grow by 8 to 10% this year to be the key supplier in Huddersfield for industrial workwear and cleaning and hygiene products."

" Mr Hand said the Huddersfield operation would also benefit fromPS40,000 investment at RSH's Sheffield headquarters in two new embroidering machines for corporate clothing.

He said Distinct Disposables and Louis France would operate as separate businesses while sharing distribution and warehousing. Mr Hand said Distinct Disposables had ensured there would be space to expand when it moved to the Lockwood site.

Distinct Disposables, headed by director Paul Storer, supplies washroom hygiene products and cleaning products to a wide range of customers, including the John Smith's Stadium, Kirklees College, Huddersfield University and Huddersfield Leisure Centre.

Louis France, formed in 1939, supplies workwear, outdoor clothing, safety equipment and cleaning products across West Yorkshire.

RSH was founded in 1990 and supplies businesses with items such as janitorial supplies, safety equipment, rubber hosing and fittings.
