TeamHealth revealed on Monday the completion of the acquisition of the clinical operations of EmergiNet.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, EmergiNet provides emergency medicine staffing for Piedmont Henry Hospital and Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. EmergiNet's approximately 25 physicians and 25 advanced practice clinicians provide care to more than 135,000 patients each year.

Through its more than 20,000 affiliated physicians and advanced practice clinicians, TeamHealth offers outsourced emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, anaesthesiology, orthopaedic hospitalist, acute care surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology hospitalist, ambulatory care, post-acute care as well as medical call centre solutions to more than 3,200 acute and post-acute facilities and physician groups nationwide.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed by the companies.
