Team of the week.

CAN you spot any familiar faces in this shot of Cleveland Club (South Bank) football team from 1974? John Thirling from Ormesby today shares this shot with Remember When of the team that was snapped at the South Bank ground.

"The club were playing in the Ellis Cup final and were about to play Redcar Albion. Trevor Mills scored the two goals for the club. The team were a strong side made up of Northern, Teesside and South Bank league players."

John did not give an exact date in his letter but we checked our records and found that the final against Redcar Albion was in 1974. John has been able to identify all the players.

Back row from left to right are Bruce Sedgewick, Herbie Hughes, John Thirling, Peter Watson, Hughie Jefferson, Peter Atkins and Dave Thompson.

Front row from left are Adrian Robbins, Tony Kell, Marty Watson, Bruce Sidgwick (junior) Trevor Mill, Mickey Graham and Ivor Hyndman. | Send your pictures to Remember When by emailing or to Remember When, Evening Gazette, Borough Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 3AZ.
