Team's 'royal' appointment.

The Birmingham residential team at a national property consultancy has been appointed as property managers at a prestigious city centre mixed use development.

GBR Phoenix Beard Residential, based on Newhall Street, Birmingham, has been chosen to manage Queens College Chambers at 36-38 Paradise Circus, a 120-apartment development with two commercial units on its ground floor.

The distinctive facade of the building means that the scheme is a landmark at Paradise Circus.

David Cannon of GBR Phoenix Beard Residential will be responsible for overseeing management arrangements. He said: "QCC has a distinct community feel which is unusual in city centre apartment blocks and residents here take great pride in the living environment.

GBR Phoenix Beard's track record in managing city centre schemes will put us in good stead to build on what the residents have achieved over the last 12 years."

Other city centre clients for GBR Phoenix Beard Residential include Islington Gates, Holliday Wharf, Southside, and Westgate.

David Eldridge has been building manager since the first residents arrived around 2000. He said: "We are delighted to be working with David Cannon and his team, and are looking forward to maintaining the already high standards. What is surprising is the proportion of owner-occupiers here, which at 70 per cent is extremely high compared with many of the other apartment blocks."
