Teachers to take pick of the arts.

TEACHERS will have a chance to "try before they buy" during an innovative event to showcase the arts.

Artists, arts organisations and teachers from across the region will gather at The Dream Factory, in Shelly Avenue, Warwick, next Thursday, to share ideas at Live Arts For Learning 2000.

Organised by Arts Marketing Warwickshire, the fair will give teachers and other education professionals the chance to sample workshops and performances from a range of artists before deciding what would work best in their own classrooms.

More than 160 teachers and two dozen arts organisations are expected to participate.

Director of Arts Marketing Warwickshire Richard Hadley said: "There's an enormous range of arts activity happening across the region and we wanted to make it easy for teachers to tap into that.

"The Live Arts For Learning Fair brings as many artists as possible together under one roof to share ideas with education professionals and to start planning work together."
