Teachers stick their heads out for charity.

CHILDREN at a Liverpool school mounted a hair-raising charity effort.

Pupils and teachers at Newpark primary in Butler Street, Tue-brook, took part in a Mad Bad Hair Day sporting wacky and wild hair styles and giving donations to the disaster fund.

Three teachers put their heads on the line for the good cause agreeing to lose their hair if the teachers and parents raised more than pounds 200.

The school now raised more than pounds 1, 150 for the appeal.

Headteacher Karen Hutchings said: ``I'm really proud. For a deprived area it's really fantastic. ''
