Taylor sparks second-half rally.
North Eugene's Kara Taylor scored two second-half goals and assisted on another as the Highlanders came from behind to beat Springfield 3-1 in a Midwestern League prep girls soccer match Tuesday.
McKenzie Mann gave the Millers a 1-0 halftime lead with an unassisted goal in the 19th minute. North tied the match early in the second half when Dani Bishop scored on a header after Taylor's direct kick.
Taylor scored on penalty kick in the 50th minute to give the Highlanders a 2-1 edge and added an unassisted goal in the 57th minute. Springfield goalkeeper Staci Bronson was credited with five saves in the match.
South Eugene 1, Thurston 0
SPRINGFIELD - The Axemen's Alyssa Larson-Xu scored in the 57th minute with an assist by Hannah Austin and goalkeeper Jesslyn Rahm notched her fourth shutout in four starts this season.
South, which improved to 5-1-1 overall and 2-0 in league, outshot the Colts 17-5.
Willamette 0, Churchill 0
The two teams fought a defensive midfield game with neither club getting off more than 10 shots on goal.
Kacie Evans and Jessie Chatfield split time in goal for the Lancers and Andrea Shoop recorded the shutout for the host Wolverines.
North Bend 5, Coquille 0
NORTH BEND - The Bulldogs remained undefeated with solo goals from Nicole Delimont, Jamie Coleman, Jessica Richey, Samantha Young and Sarah Collings.
North Bend, which led 2-0 at halftime, outshot the Red Devils 34-2 behind the strong midfield play of Brandy Haga, Cara Frazier, Hayle Artz and Jaycee Richey. The Bulldogs improved to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in league.

GLIDE - Abby Hopkins scored off an assist from Amanda Perine in the 23rd minute for the Wildcats (5-1-1).
Kayla Fummerton picked up the shutout in goal as Glide outshot the Trojans 17-4.
Brookings 2, Sutherlin 1
BROOKINGS - Ashley Hartman and Kelli Byers scored for the Bruins. The Bulldogs' goal came on an own-goal by Brookings.
