Taylor Family YMCA's 10th Annual Wine Auction Launches 2019-20 YMCA Annual Campaign to Support Community Needs.

Friday October 11, 2019. The Taylor Family YMCA will hold their 10th Annual Wine and Craft Beer auction, launching its annual campaign to ensure that everyone in the YMCA's communities has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Each year the Taylor Family YMCA engages volunteers, sponsors, neighbors, members, and community partners to invest in the children and families in the community through its Annual Campaign. This year, the Taylor Family YMCA hopes to raise $65,000. Funds raised will support healthy living programs, summer day camp, after school programs, senior fitness, and memberships for those in the community who would otherwise not be able to afford to join the Y. In addition, some of the funds will go towards much needed updates in facilities and equipment at the branch.

The Wine and Craft Beer Auction begins our fundraising season that run October through August. Our other signature fundraising events throughout the year are the Annual Gala Dinner held every April, and our Charity Golf Outing held in late summer.

Every day, the Taylor Family YMCA works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues, such as school readiness, chronic disease prevention, aquatics safety, and healthy living programs. Keeping our community great is a full-time job. Every day, our community faces new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. And we need your help to do it. Your gift can help your community and everyone in it shine. Simply put, the YMCA membership dues operate the facility, however, your charitable gift to the Y CHANGES LIVES. Together we can help make our community a better place through the YMCA.

"Throughout our communities, countless people know the "the Y". But there's so much more to our Y than one might think, said Dave Burisek, Executive Director Taylor Family YMCA. "The Y is more than a gym. It's a cause. As a charity, we're dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation's health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors."

Last year, charitable gifts from YMCA donors made it possible for kids to have a safe place to learn and build confidence after school, and for families to reconnect and grow together.
