Versaware to Convert Taylor & Francis Group's Entire Backlist of 17,000 Books to All Popular Digital Formats, Including Print-On-Demand

Digital Warehouse Enables Publisher to Manage their Own Content

Versaware Inc. (, the world leader in Internet and electronic publishing, today announced an agreement with Taylor & Francis Group (LSC: TFG, a leading international academic book publisher, to convert the publisher's complete print backlist of 17,000 titles, including selected out-of-print titles, to eBook form.

This initiative marks the first time a major publisher has committed to digitize a list of this magnitude and make it available to a global audience, around the clock, in all digital formats.

Using its own in-house technology and production resources in Israel & India, Versaware is the only company that can carry out an operation of this magnitude and execute the complete end-to-end process, beginning with the accurate high-volume digitization of the books, through the technologies for secure deliveries online and offline in all popular eBook formats.

In choosing Versaware, Taylor & Francis is now in a position to capitalize on all present and future eBook and other ePublishing opportunities.

In the first phase, Versaware will convert Taylor & Francis Group's books to all popular digital formats, including Microsoft Reader, Rocket eBook, SoftBook, Glassbook, Versabook, PDF, HTML. All of Taylor and Francis' list will be available to all Internet e-retailers with the forthcoming "Taylor & Francis Digital Warehouse," powered by Versaware.

The Digital Warehouse will provide real-time sales and fulfillment of all the Taylor and Francis titles in multiple formats, allowing the e-retailer to facilitate the sale, while the electronic fulfillment moves directly from the Digital Warehouse.
