Taxable removals increase in June.

According to a report compiled by the Beer Institute, total taxable removals in June were 17.47 million barrels, which was 3.2-percent, or 539,820 barrels more than last year's total of 16.93 million.

The total for the first half of 1992 was 92.14 million barrels, or 2.1-percent above the corresponding period in 1991.

Nine of the 17 states and combination groupings showed increased in June with Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois reporting the largest increase; 253,479 barrels. New York, meanwhile, reported the largest decreased; 99,158 barrels.

Three of the four geographical areas reported increases, the largest being the East North Central region; 8.6 percent. The only decrease was recorded in the New England & Mid-Atlantic region; 1.9 percent.
