Tasty offer to join television show.

An appeal has gone out to families in Monklands to indulge in the ultimate TV dinner.

Independent television production company Betty is making a fifth series of the factual consumer show Tricks of the Restaurant Trade for Channel 4. The series goes behind the scenes, providing tips for consumers when eating out or ordering in.

Casting assistant producer, Laura McKay, said: "We would love to hear from lively households who are curious about the foods we eat and would be up for taking part in some challenges."

By taking part in the show, families who enjoy eating out and ordering in could represent the nation's taste buds.

The show needs "fun and opinionated families with young people aged between seven and 18".
