ALTACOR'S CAMBRIDGE headquarters have been busy following the launch of EyeBar, its innovative ocular supplement in the unique format of a quality chocolate bar. Since the product was introduced at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists' annual congress in May and at the BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition in June, feedback from UK ophthalmologists and opticians has praised the new product for its pleasant taste.
An intensive advertising and awareness campaign is currently promoting EyeBar and the company's capsule-form ocular supplement, EyeTabs, which are designed to be easy to swallow.
As part of the initiative, professional and consumer educational materials have been created to aid the understanding and relevance of the Eyebar formulation, which is based on the exact nutrients of the AREDS2 study, including lutein and zeaxanthin and excluding betacarotene.
