Target: Madonna. (the Buzz).

WHY IS IT THAT ANY FILM with Madonna on the marquee has to run the gauntlet of ugly rumors before making it to the multiplex? Case in point: Sony's October release Swept Away, which finds the material mom stranded on a desert island with a hunky subordinate (Adriano Giannini). DarkHorizons.com sniped that Madonna has been driving crew members crazy with demands for last-minute changes--a charge neither she nor husband Guy Ritchie, the film's director, has bothered to respond to--while a U.K. tabloid got even nastier, printing and then retracting a report about some snipped-out nudity. Madonna no longer up to stripping down? We doubt that--not while there's a yoga class in England!
