Tapas dinner kits for stay-at-home chefs.

A small British distributor is hoping to emulate the success of Chinese, Mexican and Thai dinner kits with the UK launch of a new range of Spanish kits.

Made in Madrid, the La Buena Vida range of ambient Tapas kits and ingredients includes crackers, tuna, Piquillo peppers, onions and sauces.

Speciality distributor Hider Food Imports is currently in talks with British retailers with a view to securing UK distribution for the kits, which would allow consumers to recreate Tapas dishes at home.

"We believe Spanish food cooked at home has yet to realize its fail potential in a way other International cuisines have," said Mayte Hidalgo, marketing director of La Buena Vida.

"Our user-friendly products will enable consumers to feel like genuine Spanish chefs, creating the flavours they know from eating at Spanish Tapas bars on their holidays."
