Tap into Alison's experience.

FRIENDS of Coventry Cathedral are hosting a lecture by the conservator who managed the cleaning of the world's largest tapestry.

Alison Lister will be giving an illustrated lecture on the restoration of Sutherland's Christ in Glory tapestry on Tuesday, June 30, at 7pm in the nave of the cathedral. The fourweek project to clean the tapestry was completed just before Easter.

The lecture follows the completion of the first part of a mammoth project to preserve the tapestry and update the access structure behind it.

Ms Lister will talk about the project and the general condition that the tapestry is in.

She will also discuss some of the things they discovered about the tapestry whilst cleaning it.

Tickets for the lecture cost PS12.50 and are available either online at www.coventrycathedral.org.uk or from the cathedral's gift shop.
