Tamburlaine misses trip to Hong Kong after dirty scope.
TAMBURLAINE will miss the Hong Kong International Mile at Sha Tin tomorrow week
after scoping badly.
The Sagitta 2,000 Guineas runner-up was a 16-1 shot for the race and Mick Kinane had been booked to ride.
Richard Hannon (pictured) said: "The horse has come up with a dirty nose and had a bit of mucus. I didn't want to
travel him on it.
"He needs to be completely rested for two or three weeks and then we will bring him back."
Tamburlaine had shown his best form this year on fast ground, and there was a good chance he would have had those conditions in Hong Kong.
Hannon added: "We will try to get him ready for one of the races in Dubai at the World Cup meeting in March."
Tamburlaine's place in the Hong Kong race will be taken by the David Hayes-trained Super Molly, ridden by Damien Oliver, who won last year's Hong Kong Sprint on Falvelon.
