Talk focus on plight of refugees.

THE experiences of working as a volunteer in refugee camps in Greece will be the focus of a Living Room Dialogue being hosted by St Christopher's Cathedral, Manama on Sunday.

Bahrain-based Vicky Honar will speak on how she turned her feelings of hopelessness into action.

Seeing the developing crisis in Syria - families fleeing the destruction in their homeland - she wanted to respond with more than money and blankets, so she offered her skills as a nurse, midwife and lactation consultant and her experience of many years working in the Middle East for Nurture Project International.

Mrs Honar, who has 20 years' experience as a midwife and is a first-aid trainer and assessor with First Aid Box Bahrain, will also answer questions about her work.

The event will take place in the deanery on the cathedral compound at 7.30pm, following the 6.15pm evening service.
