Taliban attacks security check post in Helmand.

LASHKARGAH (PAN): Taliban militants last night raided a police check post, making all the police present on duty hostage in capital city Lashkargah of insurgency-plagued southern Helmand province. Provincial Governor's Spokesman, Mohammad Daud Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News on Tuesday the incident happened in Bolan area of the city. Without mentioning the exact number, Ahmadi said Taliban had taken away all the police present at the the post. Deputy Police Chief, Colonel Kamaluddin confirming the incident told this news agency investigation had been launched to probe into the incident. However, a local on the condition of anonymity told this agency Taliban have abducted four cops with their vehicle. A purported Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said five cops and one of their vehicles had been captured as a result of the attack.
