Taking over the hot seat.
Angela Horend has just joined South Tyneside Council's economic development team and is now responsible for producing the 1,000-run Firm News.
The free council produced newsletter goes out to all businesses in the borough that are registered with the local authority.
It gives them the latest news and information on grant assistance, business development initiatives and good news stories about local companies.
Angela said: "Firm News has run successfully for 10 years and is a great tool for informing the business community about what services are available to help them and how other businesses are doing in the borough."
"I'm looking forward to getting to know more about businesses in the borough and hopefully hearing about their good news for inclusion in forthcoming newsletters."
Angela, 32, from Newcastle, joins South Tyneside Council from Business Link Tyne and Wear. A business studies graduate from Sunderland University, she previously worked for North Tyneside Council.
