Take on the 'most evil job in the country'.

WARWICK Castle wants to hire a "dark and fearless" person to take on the most evil job in the country.

The Warwickshire tourist attraction is advertising for a full-time torturer to work in the dungeon and give visitors the fright of their lives.

The role is a unique opportunity for someone to turn their love of petrifying people into a vocation.

Strict requirements include experience of working with and around death, the afterlife and the gruelling and bloody.

Those with CVs including stints in abattoirs, mortuaries and cemeteries would also be at a distinct advantage.

Would-be torturers would also need to be able to thrive in dark and unsettling working conditions, and a prior knowledge of primitive medieval instruments of torture would be a bonus.

The online advert states castle bosses are looking to find a "dark and fearless individual to take on the most evil job in the country ... the nation's most blood curdling torturer".

And goes on to say the ideal candidate "will be a true team player (and not just with the living)", and the applicant must enjoy doing all they can to reduce grown men to tears and for guests to lose control of their most basic faculties.

"This is an intense role, so only those with a deeply dark and terrifying personality should apply," it adds.

Salary is negotiable and the job is advertised at
