Take note of congressional calendar for '92.

Nation's Cities is providing readers with the House and Senate schedules for 1992, so that city officials can make plans well in advance for possible meetings with Congressional delegations during the periods when they are not in session and in their hometowns.

The President will give his State of the Union Address to the Congress on the night of January 28. He is now expected to submit his budget to the Congress the following day.

The House and Senate are scheduled to reconvene this week, but no legislative action is scheduled prior to the president's budget request. Readers should note that the Senate schedule set last month provides that the Senate will not be in session the week of the Congressional City Conference. Therefore municipal and community leaders are strongly encouraged to plan delegation meetings with your two Senators either immediately before or after the conference.
