Take a festival walk in the Brecon Beacons this year.

BRECON Beacons National Park is extremely popular with walkers of all ages and interests taking advantage of the diversity of walks on offer - you could get some air pushing a buggy by the canal or put on full gear and hike over the hill tops.

There is an abundance of walking festivals in the National Park during 2014, offering walks that range from a short amble to a full-scale yomp, and some that are aimed at families or themed around wildlife or geology, etc.

So if you would rather enjoy the view than map read, and maybe even collect some factoids to roll out next time you take your family or visitors for a ramble, then get the dates for some of the walking festivals into your diary: ? March 1-9, Crickhowell Walking Festival - guided walks and events in and around Crickhowell and the Black Mountains, www.crickhowellfestival.com.
