Tain DCE cuts sod for construction of 6-unit classroom block.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tain, Lawyer Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh, has cut the sod for the construction of two 6-unit classroom blocks with ancillary facilities each for the Soronoase/Kwaedenden and Nkrankrom communities in the district.
The ancillary facilities will include library, stores, office, solar lighting system, boreholes, and 10-seater micro-flush toilet facilities.
The project is funded by the Rotary Club International, and is to be implemented by the Sunyani Central and East Rotary clubs respectively.
Madam Foriwaa Dwomoh appealed to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and philanthropists to assist the government in putting in place facilities to enhance the development of the district.
She said though the government is determined, it would need some support, as it could not do everything alone.
The District Chief Executive, who was grateful to Rotary Club International for the project and its numerous support to the district, said the Assembly is committed and it would partner any individual who will support it in developing the district.
