Taimur Naseer wins RMI Amateur Golf title.

PESHAWAR -- International golfer Taimur Naseer lifted the trophy with his gross score three over par 75 over 18-holes in the first RMI Amateur Golf Tournament played here at PAF Golf Course on Sunday. Chairman RMI Professor Dr Muhammad Rehman was the chief guest on this occasion. Organizing Secretary of the tournament Col. (Retd) Shahadat Hussain and other guests and golfers were also present.

In the 0-12 handicap, Taimur Naseer, who recently represented Pakistan in Thailand Open, carded 36 par at front nine with two birdies and made two bogies and adding another superb score of 39, three over, par at back nine with missing a stroke over hole no. 16, 17 and 18.

Taimur Naseer, hailing from Peshawar, scored 75, three over par over 18 holes and become the leader by winning the Tournament, followed by another promising amateur Inayat Ullah Yousafzai, who carded 77, five over par over 18 holes, with 36 par at front nine with three birdies at holes no. 3, 4 and 6 and missed a stroke at hole no 1, 2, 5, followed by 41, five over par at back nine.Inayatullah made double bogy at hole no 1 and 18 besides missing a stroke at 12, 13 and 14.

Adnan Khan took third position with his gross score 78 over 18 holes, six over par, with 27, one over par at front nine with three birdies and as many bogy and adding another 41, five over par at back nine with missing a stroke at 10, 13, 15 and 17 besides doubles bogy at hole no 14.

In the Net category, Abdul Qayyum Bokhari with his Net score 71 took first position, followed by Sadiq-ur-Rehman of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) with his Net score 73, one over par, in the main category, got second position, followed by Raheem Bali with his Net score 73.

Senior Amateur gross international golfer Col Saud with his gross score 76 got first position, followed by Fassih Ali Anwar 88, Sqr Ldr Idrees Khalid 89 while in the Net Col, Shahadat Hussain, Justice Retd Azhar Ul Habib, Dr. Arshad Javed got first, second and third position respectively.

In the Professional category Khalid Khan carded gross 73, one over par with 36, par, at front nine and 37, one over par, at back nine. He score four birdies and made two double bogy in the back nine round. Ijaz Khan with his gross 73, 36 par at front nine and 37, one over par, at back nine, got second position, followed by Chinar Gul with 74, two over par, 38, two over par, at front nine and 36, par, at back nine with two birdies and three bogy and Zahir Shah got four position with his gross score 74, 36 at front and 38 at back nine.
