Tackett Mills.

Katherine Jane Tackett and Jonathan Perry Mills were united in marriage on September 10, 2005, at Broadmeadow Methodist Church in Jackson at 6:30 in the evening.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Melissa Taylor Tackett of Ridgeland and Mr. Jimmy Killies Tackett of Sunflower. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Bennett Tackett of Schlater and the late Mr. and Mrs. Euel Griffith Taylor. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Garrett Mills of Philadelphia. His grandparents are Mrs. Perry Newton Hicks and the late Mr. Hicks and the late Bobbie Jean Mills and the late Otho Mills.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ensemble by Monique Lhuillier. Her jacket was ivory re-embroidered Alencon lace with a V-neckline and cap sleeves, which were sashed with a sable double-faced satin ribbon. Her full A-line skirt was made of honey organza and swept into a chapel train. A mantilla edged in Alencon lace cascaded onto her train. The bride's bouquet consisted of black magic roses hand-tied with honey organza.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Kathryn Page Clifford of Hollandale. Bridesmaids were Memrie Wells McCubbin and Lauren Brooke Roberts of Jackson. Chaney Elizabeth Mills of Hickory, niece of the groom, served as a junior bridesmaid. Attendants wore two piece black satin dresses with shirred wrap tops and A-line floor-length skirts. They carried hand-tied black magic roses

The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Garrett Mills, brother of the groom, of Hickory, and Jimmy Bradley Tackett, brother of the bride, of Sunflower. Ring bearers were Garrett Joseph Mills, from Hickory, nephew of the groom, and Cody Cooper Perkins, from Schlater, cousin of the bride.

The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Robert Hill. Music was presented by Rosemary McInnis, pianist. Quartet members were Kenny Hillman, Pat Fiedler, Keith Wells, and Larry Mills, father of the groom. Scripture was read by Kimberly Carol Mills, sister of the groom. Tiffany Sturgis Mikkelson served as houseparty, and Rachael Sudduth Tackett served as the bride's proxy.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson. Guests were entertained by the Krackerjacks.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at the University Club in Jackson.

Following a honeymoon trip to Mexico, the couple is at home in Philadelphia, where they are both practicing attorneys.
