Tabernus Announces Department of Defense Certified and HIPAA Compliant Product, Disk Purge, Now Available.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Tabernus LLC, an international software development company specializing in Serial ATA (SATA), Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), SCSI, iSCSI and Fibre Channel related diagnostics and testing software, today announced the release of their Disk Purge product. Tabernus' new Disk Purge product allows any storage device owner to completely erase all data from any SCSI or Fibre Channel disk drive.

Tabernus' Disk Purge product is Department of Defense (DOD) certified and HIPAA compliant. It has been used commercially by such key clients as Boeing, Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Motorola, the United States Navy, United States Air Force, United States Army and more. Tabernus has modified the high-tech interface, to make the disk declassification process very consumer friendly and is now offering this technology to anyone who is motivated to be compliant with the following Acts:

--Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

--Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)

--Sarbanes-Oxley Act

--The Patriot Act

--Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act

Tabernus' Disk Purge Product has several key benefits:

1. Ensure Security

Using Disk Purge software will guarantee that ALL data will be completely erased from a disk drive.

2. Execute Warranties

Individuals want to ensure that data is completely erased from their storage device prior to executing warranties (returning the drive to the manufacturer). After using Disk Purge, clients are assured that when the disk drive is returned, there is no proprietary information still remaining on the device.

3. Purpose: Why Declassify Drives?

The disk purge product completely erases all data from one or more disk drives. This allows disks with sensitive or classified information to be sanitized and re-used.

4. Easy-to-Use Operation

Tabernus' designed this product to be very user friendly. To start this process, the user simply selects devices in the device tree (similar to windows) and clicks the Start button. The declassification and purging process is multithreaded and will operate on multiple drives simultaneously.

5. The Process is Simple and Thorough

--The Disk Purge algorithm will erase data from all the spare blocks on enterprise level drives by overwriting them with three series of data patterns.

--Disk Purge will then do three series of overwrites on the entire storage device.

--For every series, the data from the validate block is saved to a file. This file may be used later to view, print and validate that the drive has been completely overwritten, erased or "purged."

--This procedure "purges" all areas of the disk and is certified by the Department of Defense (DOD) and HIPAA compliant.

"We heard from our customers that a product with this robust capability would be useful to them," stated Khalid Elibiary, President and CEO of Tabernus. "Previously our world class software declassification technology was offered only to the military and a few large enterprises. Now we are excited to be able to offer our declassification technology to the small medium business (SMB) sector and the health care sector who are seeking a high compliance to privacy legislation."

The Disk Purge software is available for only $995.00 and may be used on an unlimited number of drives. To make a purchase, visit Tabernus' website at or call their sales group at 888-700-8560.
