TYCO APPOINTS ROBERT P. MEAD AS VICE PRESIDENT

 EXETER, N.H., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Tyco Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: TYC) announced today that Robert P. Mead has been appointed vice president of the company.
 Mead also serves as president of the company's Flow Control Operations. During his twenty years with the company Mead has hel various management positions, including chief financial officer of Grinnell Corporation, and executive vice president of the company's Allied and Mueller units. He recently headed Tyco's Asia Pacific Operations.
 Mead holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant College.
 Tyco is a worldwide manufacturer of fire protection systems, flow control products, electrical and electronic components and packaging materials.
