TWO-FOLD FLOOD RELIEF INITIATIVE DIRECTED TO FARM MACHINERY OWNERS, RURAL COMMUNITIES

NEW HOLLAND, Pa., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Agricultural machinery maker Ford New Holland, Inc. (FNH) is offering a unique opportunity for its 4,000 U.S. employees to double and possibly quadruple donations supporting rural flood victims of the Midwest.
At the same time Ford New Holland Credit is attempting to notify its flood-impacted customers that special efforts are being made to help protect their machinery investments.
FNH announced to its employees throughout the United States that the company would match all employee contributions to the American Red Cross Rural Flood Relief, a special fund intended to help farmers and residents of rural communities who have been hard hit by the flood. The Agricultural Group of Monsanto Company contributed $1 million to the fund and has pledged another $1 million to match individual or business contributions. In effect, with FNH and Monsanto's matching program combined, every dollar given by a FNH employee will result in a $4 total contribution throughout the life of the matching program.
Also, in an attempt to deal with its customers on a case-by-case basis, Ford New Holland Credit has mailed letters reassuring flood- impacted credit customers that the company understands their temporary financial problems and is willing to work with them in an attempt to protect their investment.
Those customers are being encouraged to call the toll-free number at the branch office that covers their particular region of the country. Customers in the Minneapolis branch area can call 800-777-3466. Those in the Overland Park, Kan., branch area can call 800-777-3871. Customers who do not know their branch location can obtain that information through their local dealership.
