MOTORISTS HAVE BEEN LEFT SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS OVER THE NEW LAYOUT WHERE BEACONSFIELD ROAD CROSSES DURHAM ROAD IN LOW FELL.
Barbara Farnan: "I wish the Gateshead Council would change the traffic signals turning right to get to the Sage/Gateshead Quays. You can be waiting five minutes at each set of traffic lights. Totally ridiculous when there is no oncoming traffic."
Brandon O'Neil: "Surely the bus lane should be on red while other traffic is moving. Asking for an accident otherwise."
Lucy Elizabeth Johns: "Every morning I see an 'almost' incident. It's only a matter of time. It didn't even show what happens either end of that with the road layout and lights."
Tony Lewis: "Wait until you get further into Gateshead. The junction at the old College/ Springfield hotel has just been finished and if you are heading North you drive straight into the oncoming traffic. And it's got the same ramp as Beaconsfield junction."
Mark A Sandford: "Gateshead haven't been borrowing Durham Council's highways engineers have they? Or is this just a concerted effort to make the A167 as confusing/dangerous as possible from start to finish?"
