TWA ATLANTA HUB TO ADD HOUSTON AND BOSTON SERVICE
PLUS INCREASED SERVICE TO DETROIT AND WASHINGTON, D.C.
MT. KISCO, N.Y., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Trans World Airlines, Inc. ("TWA"), today announced the inauguration of new service to Houston and Boston effective Oct. 25 from its Atlanta hub.
TWA will have a total of 41 daily non-stop flights from Atlanta to Boston, Houston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Orlando, Tampa, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, New York and St. Louis. TWA's four flights to New York's JFK Airport provide connecting service to TWA's European destinations and its five flights to St. Louis provide connecting service to TWA's destinations in the west.
"Since introducing a new domestic hub on June 1st with 29 departures, we have enjoyed a great reception by the Atlanta community and this expansion complements our success," said Craig Pavlus, senior vice president of marketing for TWA.
TWA will offer three daily non-stop flights to Houston and Boston with special unrestricted introductory fares of $99 each way and no advance purchase required. The special fares are valid for travel through Dec. 15 for tickets purchased no later than Nov. 15.
TWA also is adding a third daily flight between Atlanta and Detroit and a fourth flight to and from Washington National Airport and plans to continue its regular everyday low fares of $109 each way, based on round-trip travel.
"Our presence in Atlanta has been good for TWA and it is obvious the people of Atlanta appreciate TWA's low prices," said Pavlus. "The support we have received is very encouraging and we look forward to continuing as part of the community long into the future."
