TV veteran Morris pulls out of show.

ILLNESS has forced former Animal Magic frontman Johnny Morris to drop plans for a TV comeback.

He fell ill on March 19, two days after he was named as a presenter for ITV's Wild Thing, which starts in June.

Morris, 82, has been a patient at Princess Margaret Hospital in Swindon since he collapsed at his home in Hungerford, Berkshire.

A Tyne-Tees Television spokeswoman said: "We have been told he is not well enough to work on the series.

"Although we are disappointed he won't be able to join us, we want him to concentrate on getting better."

Morris was "stable" at the hospital yesterday.
