TV Thaw pounds 2m gift to widow.

MORSE star John Thaw's actress widow Sheila Hancock will pick up pounds 2 million from his will.

But he also left a touching memento to first wife Sally Alexandra, whom he divorced 30 years ago.

Thaw, who died of throat cancer in February, asked 69-year-old Sheila to let her choose something to remember him by.

Sally, mother of his daughter Abigail and now a university lecturer, said: "It is so painful and sad.

"John is very much missed but I have nothing else to say."

Thaw, 60, also left pounds 1,000 each to his gardeners Clive Dards and Jane Stanbridge and housekeepers Beatrice Wilcox and June Toop.
