TV Reporter attacked for pursuing the Kohistan video murders.

ISLAMABAD -- An unsuccessful murder attempt on TV channel reporter Haseeb Khawaja has been carried out for his reporting the facts about Kohistan video case, whence the attacker managed to flee.

The TV channel reporter was attacked over his bid to carry out his findings to International Court of Justice (ICJ), moving ICJ against the perpetuators; while the attacker often argued with the reporter for raising controversies at global forums, which could bring a bad name to Pakistan, even threatening the reporter with death, if the reporter did not cease his endeavors.

The attacker assaulted the reporter from rear, while the reporter was about to enter his residence, ultimately being saved by reporters associates, who came to his rescue after hearing his calls for help.

The hapless reporter, reported his ordeal to police in injured condition, alongwith the medical report, yet the case was still registered after quite a delay. The reporter has charged police of deliberately conniving with the attacker, while also accusing police of deliberately tampering with the medical report, which could benefit the attacker.

A complaint lodged with SHO, Thana Aabpara resulted in appointment of an alternate investigation officer, yet the attacker still remained at large. The police on the other hand maintain that it was still trying its level best to arrest the attacker, who was not present in Islamabad.

The Reporter, Haseeb Khawaja had earlier proved that five, including four females videotaped had been killed by village notables, while one was totally innocent: yet Haseeb had alleged that the role of former CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was partial, while the current CJP was refusing to reopen the case, forcing the reporter to refer to ICJ.
