ROLF'S ANIMAL CLINIC Channel 5, 8pm For 10 years, Rolf Harris was the host of much-loved BBC series Animal Hospital. Now he's back with this similarly themed new series. Rolf's Animal Clinic sets up shop at the University of Liverpool's Leahurst campus, which is home to one of the UK's top veterinary colleges. It also operates three specialist hospitals treating cats and dogs, horses and farm animals, and two teams of mobile vets. The first patient is Millie, a family's pet horse who is brought in with a life-threatening case of colic and needs emergency surgery.

THE PARADISE BBC1, 9pm Arthur Darvill's keeping himself busy at the moment - of course the fact that he can take his pick of scripts doesn't harm his career. We last saw him being whizzed back in time to his eventual death in Doctor Who, but he's very much alive in this latest role - and is rather conniving with it. As The Paradise continues, Moray decides it's the right time to extend the store. However, there's just one catch, in that he must persuade Burroughs (Darvill), the barber next door, to sell his shop. He agrees, but on the condition that he's made a joint partner in the business. However, it seems that Burroughs may have an ulterior motive for being involved, as he stirs trouble by claiming to Jonas that he has incriminating evidence surrounding the death of Moray's wife. His accusations don't go down all that well with Jonas, but when he decides the barber must be dealt with once and for all, his actions are witnessed by an employee.

GEORGE CLARKE'S AMAZING SPACES Channel 4, 8pm If you want to see the flip side of Grand Designs, take a look at this new series hosted by architect George Clarke. He sheds some light on those creating modest places to live, work and play. And there is no shortage of eclectic projects in the opener. He meets a couple who invested their savings to turn a wreck of a bus into a holiday let, and examines how an old underground toilet has been transformed into an apartment.
